You are One in a Kadjillion

To the artists of the Create Anyway Collective (CAC):

You are one in a kadjillion.

David is one in a kadjillion.

I am one in a kadjillon.

And every other artist in the CAC is one in a kadjillion.

And we all found each other in this vastness of life on Planet Earth.

What are the chances of that?

One in a kadjillion-zillion-trillion.

And yet it happened.

So…what are the chances of...

  • Making a cohesive body of work.

  • Getting involved with the local art community.

  • Asking for help and receiving it.

  • Getting into a lofty, prestigious gallery.

  • Making connections with artists you think are "out of your league."

  • Finding someone (or many someones) who likes your work and wants to buy it.

  • Making a living at this art thing.

  • Posting on Instagram and getting zero likes and/or being willing to make a piece worse and wasting time and materials in the process, and not making any of these outcomes mean one darned thing about your inherent worth.

What are the chances indeed.

Maybe one in a kadjillion-zillion-trillion.

But we don't mind the odds.

Because when your worth isn't on the table, the threat of feeling humiliation and shame reduces. It ceases to be crippling.

What we care about is feeling the thrill, honor & privilege, fulfillment, fun, and satisfaction of creating and being a creator.

We care if we are creating feelings of defeat that stem from a Craptastic Belief (so we can create an Intentional Belief.)

We care about saying yes to the human experience. All. Of. It.

Which means saying yes to humiliation, shame, disappointment, dread, trepidation, etc. as well.

Just because you feel humiliation does not mean you are humiliating.

It means you are feeling the vibration of humiliation. Which is caused by a thought you are momentarily thinking and believing.

We care about activating our dreams.

We care that we, as humans, have the unique, one-in-a-kadjillion gift of being able to direct our own minds and change our futures.

Let's go.

P.S. The Create Anyway Collective (CAC) helps you develop your true authentic voice as well as create a body of your real work based on that artistic voice. Want to be notified when the next CAC opens for enrollment? Add yourself to the Waiting List here.
